The Dive Pool was set up as the need for a pool that could be used at almost anytime of the year became apparent. Most existing pools tend to be seasonal and during the summer season they get very busy.
Most local pools also tend to be rather shallow so a 2.2m deep pool would be more useful. So, after seeing similar projects, The Dive Pool was created.
The Dive Pool was set up by divers for divers, it is not desinged for swimming although it can be as long as the terms of use are met. The pool is too deep to be used as a recreational swimming pool without a lifeguard .
